Fong Lye Taiwanese Restaurant

7th May, a beautiful Saturday evening, the first meeting up with friends of mine in KL. First I go to Cheras to pick up Boon and Denken then drive to KL Sentral station to pick up Wee. The nearest mall at KL Sentral area is The MidValley! haha...before that, there was a funny story but I'm not gonna write it here, it's too long! Hah!

As usual... The carpark in MidValley is always full at any time, that's why I hate going to MidValley all the time. End up we park at The Gardens carpark, though is a little bit expensive, nevermind..

Denken is complaining that he's hungry, first place to go has to be a fine restaurant, then we both have the same idea! Fong Lye! Well, I miss their 3-cup chicken! Not bad...comes with rice and side dishes with a soup. Price is reasonable too.

Sat down on the sofa, I took out my camera and Boon goes "Waaaaaaah!". I was like "what?!" hahahaha MEAN...! Boon takes up the camera and start shooting, at the same time, he said "Wooh! This is really GOOD!". Of course bro! Of course! =D

This is the most disappointed noodle! I do not like the way they cook the meat with tofu like this! It's not my taste...hate it! Oh! By the way....this set is mine! =.=

For awhile, I don't think I would go back to Fong Lye... However, I had a good time with my friends and we will be meeting up soon again! Hopefully to the Library! And sit together to drink Martell while playing Go Fish! Hahahaha! Wonderful night!

What's wrong with you?!

For the sake of the Lord! You had asked me a thousand time about the hours!!! Same hours! What is wrong with you my goodness! The same thing! Over and over! You asked the same thing, why could not you understand this simple thing? I explained once and the other understood, why couldn't you?! You are the freaking mng here and I do not see you do anything?!!!

You said "ok, I will do", "this one has to be done", "there's so many things to do", "I will follow up", so many times you have said, but I never see one thing you have done?! How could the boss hired you? I will never understand! A very easy matter, you took it so seriously but in fact you never do?! WTH is this?!?! Oh God the Almighty....!

The Little Korea

PAY DAY!!! My first pay in my life! Well, not much.... But, first pay man and I'm happy! So, I decided to treat Pat and the kids a good dinner!

Mr.N said since we have so many persons going, why not Korean BBQ?! Oh yessssss.....!

BBQ pork is my favorite! I do not like beef or lamb, but pork is super nice! However the Pat family prefer beef tough, but not me and N! =D

Dduk bok-ki, is a must every time I walk into a Korean restaurant!

The saddest part was the Little Korea has no tofu soup, only DaORae has it. That's one of my favorite as well! Ahhhhh.....

Caffeine is definitely my enemy!

Few hours ago, I came to work, thinking of buying myself a good breakfast. Down to the stairs, there's a Subway and they have this breakfast meal costs rm6.30 together with a free Nescafe. I had McDonald's coffee before, and I did not feel any funny feeling after taking it. So, I thought... "I will be fine taking a Nescafe too!". I ordered a chicken slice egg sandwich, and went back to the office happily unwrapping my healthy breakfast.

Slowly took the coffee sip by sip, it tasted good, I couldn't remember when was the last time I took Nescafe. However, I finished the whole cup and continued to do my work. As usual, picking up calls, flight scheduling, recording the tech-log, etc. An hour and a half past by, I started feeling something is compressing on my chest, also having a rapid breath and heart beat! Getting annoyed by my own behavior! Then I started to think..... "Oh dear! It's the caffeine!".

"No way this is happening now!!". Yes it was! My hands were cold and shaking, feeling dizzy and nauseous, and extremely uncomfortable! I was wondering is that the same feeling of a heart attack?! I kept drinking water hoping the caffeine could be wash off from my body! Finally it did help to make me feel better now... Phewwww...

I am so upset about this! Do you know how fragrant is a coffee yet I'm actually allergic to caffeine!?!!! Arrrggghh..... Hence, I went to Wikipedia to search for the effects of caffeine, and there I got this: "Caffeine overdose can result in a state of central nervous system over-stimulation called caffeine intoxication or colloquially the "caffeine jitters". The symptoms of caffeine intoxication are not unlike overdoses of other stimulants. It may include restlessness, fidgetiness, nervousness, excitement, euphoria, insomnia, flushing of the face, increased urination, gastrointestinal disturbance, muscle twitching, a rambling flow of thought and speech, irritability, irregular or rapid heart beat, and psychomotor agitation." It says, "caffeine OVERDOSE", I didn't overuse this! It was just one cup!!!!

Old town Ipoh

It's Friday and I was heading back home from KL with N! Passing by Ipoh during noon, N said :"Let's go for a toast with half boiled egg!". I was thinking, it's just a toast... What so special?!

We arrived at the old town area Ipoh thanks to GPS, at this very old Kopitiam, I sat down and started taking pictures here and there, I just can't resist not to take down these ancient bricks!

One set of toast please. I didn't expect the egg would be placed on top of the toast?! Oh, this looks so nice! Add some pepper and soy sauce...... We do not need 5 minutes to finish this whole plate! The egg was cooked just nice, very smooth! However, I would prefer if there's no butter spread on the toast, because it makes the toast more salty after adding the soy sauce; on the other hand, you can't ignore adding soy sauce, that's what makes the whole thing nice! This one goes very well with the local coffee! Trust me! Even I don't drink coffee though...!

As I said it was noon, how could a toast make us full?! NO WAY! WE NEED MORE FOOD! Looking at the noodle stall in front, Ipoh should have nice Wan Tan Noodle I think. Ordered one noodle, but the lady said there's no Wan Tan, the side dishes are meat balls, fish balls, and those vege in the Jyong Tofu. Okay... It's very different from the one I know! Anyway, the meat ball looked nice, and I thought it would be put above the noodle, but it came with a bowl of soup with 6 meat balls instead!

Noodle was soft enough, I like that softness of a noodle; the meat balls were juicy and big, besides the soup was just normal for me. N spotted a stall selling roasted pork! Why not....? Right?! =P

Great lunch in a great place! I will be back for the TOAST! Thumbs up!
