@8806.com

One car,
one group of friends,
10 years of friendship,
one same laugh,
one girl!

-8806 owner, Mr. Y, we have known each other for 11 years. Currently doing family business, has a good sense of humor, crazy thoughts, loud voice, an easy going person who doesn't like reading books at all! He never rejects on fetching all of us to anywhere with his 8806, even though a 200km far road trip. However, the weird thing of him is, we never hear him saying that he likes a girl since we know him. And by the way, he is the one who created the word "Spon Ghee Bob"! =D

-Next, Mr. P, I know him since 14 year-old. He is a very good and talented entertainer/learner, a very good actor indeed! So he is now studying in a college to achieve his dream on becoming an honorable artist. He has a great personality, hilarious guy, has a very thin body which looks like a stick, we will never get bored being with him! He stands strong in his religion, nobody can defeat that because that is what saved him few years ago during his darkest moment. Also, desperately looking for a girlfriend now! =D

-Next on the list is Mr. L, already 9 years we have known each other but still complaining about his height! My first impression of him, I thought he was a gangster and I would never want to have a bad friend?! In fact, he is a very thoughtful guy about his future, always think of becoming a successful man in business and also relationship. Having a stressful professional degree, who is also madly in love with a sweet girl. Well, I guess he is not far from what he wants to be in the future! =D

-Follow up by Mr. D, we have been friends for 12 years which is the longest in my friend list. We had a funny "How we had met" story during primary school, and it brings us now, still maintaining a good friendship. He is the Maths genius in our group, we hardly see him studying though he can score fantastic result! Don't get fooled by his look, he is in a relationship which is already 4 years long as well! =D

-When I was having class in age 13, one boy walked into the class with his back pack; after the teacher introduced, he is our new classmate from Terengganu. Mr. B, we have known since then, he is very good in taking care a person, a really good "friend", a never live without a work friend. Living in a not-so-good-financial environment, besides working, he is still working!! We all know breaking up with a long relationship isn't a good feeling, but he is the friend that we will stand for him even though it happens. =)

-For 9 years of friendship, I still don't really know this guy! Mr. K, who is the most quiet friend, may be he is being shy but this is just him. That just makes us remember, " Yes, that is Mr. K!!", he is also the most tan look and not-bad-looking friend. Recently, he is enjoying life to the maximum, "Go have fun while you can", that's what he told us! Besides us, he has a lot of friends so it makes him absent most of the time when we were having our road trip! But still, he is one of the 8806! =D

-"I'm so wanna migrate to the US or at least stay there for few years!", Mr. J has been saying that since 2002. I think he belongs to that country, he loves whatever is over there or invented there! Of course, he loves the language and also accent, so he is our US dictionary! Banging on white chicks is his interest, eating American breakfast is his favourite and looking at the US stocks is his daily need, so he is speeding up his degree program and graduating next year. Dreaming on one day he can sit in the stadium watching NBA and also the US open! =D

-The most inactive member in 8806, the "roasted chicken" aka Mr. Chicken. I have not seen him for almost 3 years; so what I have known about him is, he has a big family business, currently studying in the UM, having a long relationship which is about 6 years, a very crazy guy who talks nonsense after few shots of alcohol! Oh yeah, one more thing is, he is the "shortest" in the group! So, don't worry Mr. L, you are not the short one! =D

That's all of us, and yes, I'm the only girl which I should feel very proud of it! I don't know what have attracted all of us to be together? This is the fate, every time when someone wants to watch a movie, the moment he/she picks up the phone, one of our phone will start ringing! These are the crazy 8806 members, we call it 8806 because we always go out with that car and have fun inside! We do not need the luxuries or very nice food, all we need is.......... each other!
Thank you my friends!

Going places...around the world!

Recently, I had known some friends from different countries. The USA, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Canada, Australia, Netherland, Hong Kong and Taiwan. While getting to know them, I realized they had gone to so many places in the world; backpacking around the famous cities. Then, I started to get jealous!

However, I am still not too bad! I had been to Europe, Australia and some Asian countries. Well, I am lucky that I get to explored these places since I was 16. We can't always compare with others, because their currency might be higher or they are earning more so that it is easy for them to go vacations.

So, the world is out there for us to explore! Come on people! Go out and say "Hi" to everyone! Make friends, this is what life should be! I am still young.....long way to go! Just keep moving forward and I believe I will finish walking all around the world one day! =D

Cheers!

The First Attempt!

My friend, L, who is studying LLB (Bachelor of Law) just got his first year result last night. He passed all 4 subjects in one attempt which is his first attempt, and he got 3 Bs among four which is pretty awesome!

Few days back, he received a call from his classmate telling him that the result is released and published on the university website; after he hung up the phone he started to get panic! All he wanted to do was go back home, get himself on the net and check his result. Apparently most of the Law students would be checking for their scores as well, so it leads to "JAM" on the web page. In fact, it was like that for the past two days! Until last night, he finally got into the web page and got his result!

All of these reminded me when I was getting my CA6 result almost two years ago. My ex-roommate, S, and I were not aware that the result actually came out that day, so we didn't prepare for the result to come. Suddenly, my batch mate, A, knocked on our door rapidly; after I opened the door, I saw he was holding a thumb-drive and said:" The result is out! I have a copy here. Quick! check your result now!"

I took the thumb-drive from his hand and ran to my laptop, plugged in the drive and double-clicked the file called "CA6 results". I started getting goosebumps all over my hands to my arms! A picture came out after the clicks, as they captured the result by using phone's camera, and we saw our batch mates' names. Scrolling down the list vertically, and I found my name! Started reading horizontally from my name, subject by subject................I PASSED ALL! So did S! We shouted out loud and hugged each other!! Ran out of the room and jumped up and down!

Tears of joy started to slip down through our cheeks, we were extremely happy that we made it in the first attempt. Which in the future will make our resume looks better! All six subjects are marked in UK and the passing mark is 75%! We always felt the stress for this exam because it costs a lot and we could not afford to fail, and failing isn't making the career better. So, I was thankful that I have all the blessing from friends and family before and after the exam! That was one of the unforgettable moments in my life, it was..........amazing!

Anyway, well done to my friend! And keep up with the good work, you deserve that!
Congratulation, Mr.L!
Work hard people! Your hard work will be paid one day! =D

Doctor vs Pilot

When surfing on the net and FB, I found one "breaking news" from my friend's wall. It's a post from the Yahoo.hk, it's actually an article. The article is talking about one man who aged 30, gave away his career as a doctor to become a pilot in an airline. This brave man gave his $70,000 HKD monthly salary away, and chose a brand new career in his life which has to start from the very beginning, the ZERO.

This charismatic man, Mr.N, who is actually one of my friends, and is becoming my idol now! How he became my idol? Let me tell you how.

When he was flying back from MEL to HKG last week in a wide-body aircraft, in the middle of the flight, one passenger felt difficulty in breathing and he was one of the doctors on board in that flight. Both of them doctors, were managed to stabilize the lady and who could be able to continue her journey back to London to meet her husband.

Isn't this cool?! He is graduating soon from a flying school and will become a second officer in half a year time, but he is still saving people now. Although he has decided to become a pilot, but he never gives up medicine!
This story tells us, do not forget whatever you had learned and keep moving forward! Every thing we learned, there's always a purpose hiding underneath!
Yeah, he is the MAN! =)

'How I Met Your Mother'

My ex-roommate recommended me this series since last year, and I didn't even bother to have a peek. In this early July 2010, my current classmate recommended me this as well, and since I was waiting for the Grey's Anatomy Season 6, so I thought I should give it a try!

Eventually, now, I spent most of my tv time watching "How I Met Your Mother" instead of Grey's which I was so crazy about before this. So I called my ex-roommate, S, telling her that how much I love this drama and I felt bad that I ignored her offer last time! Anyway, nothing is too late! =)

This drama is hilarious, also, showing a very good friendship they have between the five of them. It is a good series for someone who would like to spend their evening cheerfully. And I will never get bored by watching all the seasons repeatedly.

"You'll love every piece of Victoria"

Spoke to a friend this morning, he is having "business trip" in Melbourne. Short stay, only two days, will be coming back tonight. It reminds me the time when I was in Melbourne with my sis, J, we stayed there for a week before departing to Sydney.

Backpackers hostel, trams, beach, old buildings, awesome multi-racial cuisines, new friends and cold weather. Melbourne is simply "awe".....wait for it......"some", AWESOME! (jeez, i'm so Barney!) =D

Oww...I miss that place so much, when can I go again?

Persistence

I had a blog last 2 years, was about my training life in an island. It didn't last for a year, I had posted not even more than 20 posts; so could I make this blog permanent? Hopefully yes, I need the persistence for my own good, I mean in everything. Like loving a person, a book, a subject, a career, or a job.

Getting started feels fresh and exciting, but when time flies I will get bored easily which is a very bad habit. I think I need a good plan for this blog, to be more enthusiastic on blogging. Mmmm....we'll see then! =D

This isn't new for me though =)

When choosing the templates, I was wondering whether I should choose the simple one. In fact, I am just an ordinary person who happens to have a big dream, and still dreaming for it to happen. However, I "accidently" clicked the not-too-simple one; perhaps this is how human being behaves, people tend to get more than the things they need. Why? Well, may be a psychologist can explain more about this.

I don't really write blogs, it's not I do not like it; just......lazy! Yes, I am a lazy person which is one of my flaws! I decided to create a blog because I always want to write about my feelings about each day, every moment, and every people as well as things that I encountered. So, I wrote it on my FB status, which became no privacy as all of the "friends" would know. I mean, I do not want others to know that much of my feelings, and FB is a HOT thing now. Hence, I decided to tweet it out. Not the bird tweeting, it's the Twitter. It is much better than the FB, as others can't comment about my status and I could avoid others on viewing my page. I know FB can do the same thing, but FB is just for a "staying in the connection" purposes.

All I want to say is Twitter has capacity limitation, I can't write this much on T. Consequestly, it brings me here and I'm one of the bloggers now!
