A "Thank You" note

When I was studying in the college last year, during my day-dreaming, I always thought of entering the lecturers office and approach each of my lecturer, shake their hands and say "Thank you for teaching me, I'm leaving for my career!".

I want to get a job so bad, to settle down immediately! Thanks to the Power of Secret, it did happen! The last week of March, I went to the college just like an ordinary day. However, this time, I walked with the joyful feeling and thought, FINALLY I COULD DO THIS! Went up to the department office and I said to Kak Ros, "I would like to withdraw the course."

After filling up the withdrawal course and returned my student card, I walked into the lecturers office. I approached them with my shoulder up high and shake their hands hard, saying "thank you" again and again. However, though this is not the job that I supposed to do, but at least I'm being surrounded with the aviation industry. I am proud!

Mechanics, Business Studies, Statistics and Maths lecturers; all wished me good luck and happy that I'm doing on what I like to do. On the other hand, I didn't meet the Physics lecturer as she was having class when I went. Hence, I left a note on a post-it, written "Thank you for teaching me, I'm leaving for my Dream job. Love, Vivienne." =)

d'italiane'kitchen

Buon Giorno! Cosa ti piace avere questa sera?

Well, that's from Google Translator, I understand only Buon Giorno!
9th April, a fine evening after work, N was asking me what would I like to have this evening. He suggested Italian! The first thought of the word "Italian", the whole Italian images came into my mind! The Duomos, Florence river, the Leaning Tower, the Fontana di Trevi, pizzeria and pastas! I was like "wooh! let's go!".

We came to this Italian restaurant in somewhere PJ, most of the tables were occupied, Hmmm...good business, the food should be delicious then! Got served in a minute, took out my camera and SNAP SNAP!

I love Aglio Olio style's pasta, so this is the Spicy Beef Bacon Aglio Olio, not sure whether the name is correct?! Duh....! It's beef bacon!
Love the smell of the garlic, but the saltiness of the bacon is a little bit too strong, and it affects the whole pasta. So, it's too salty for ME! However, I still love it! May be next time I should inform them to keep their SALT!

N loves Risotto! He loves it like the monkeys love banana! This is the Grilled Lamb Risotto, with a small bowl of sauce. The lamb was medium cooked, very tender, juicy, so was the risotto! The risotto tastes like the one I had back in Florence market, the Tripe Risotto! You won't feel greasy after have it a lot! Very nice!

Drip all the sauce on the lamb.... "Hmmmm.....I'm in heaven!"

A good dinner would not be satisfied without a dessert! Molten Chocolate! Honestly, I would never order this when I see the name..."Molten Chocolate"! I was like..."sure that's nice?!"
N strongly recommended this! Of course, I listen to whatever he said!
After 15 minutes, "ta daaaa!". Ok, it looked normal to me though... But wait until I put that on my tongue!

Wooooooooooo! Melted chocolate leaching from the inside! And it's still HOT! The cake is surprisingly crispy at the outside, together with the wipe creme and vanilla flavored ice-cream! That was amazing! The melted hot chocolate is so dense and concentrated, mixed with the freezing ice-cream, plus a little bit of cheery jam at the very bottom! Now I know why......!

The iPad Fever

HT bought one iPad for her beloved kids, and they bring it out everytime to anywhere and during every meal. Of course, the other kids would be jealous when they see the iPad, keep begging their parents to get one for them. My dad saw this situation last week, he started asking the price of an iPad and the functions in it.

Few days ago, he called P, telling her that he will buy 3 iPads for her 3 kids! In total, he will buy 7 iPads for his 7 grandchildren!!!! WHAT?! How about daughters? I bet the daughters will make good use of those iPads than the grandchildren, no?!

Anyway...... He is not buying any of the iPads now! HAHAHA!

A small piece for J

Today, 23rd April, I would like to wish J for her dreams come true, remember the power of "The Secret", always...!
Good luck in everything you do.

Thank you for bringing me for the awesome trip! Everytime when I look at those pictures I would go "Awwww.....it's was a good time!". Also, thank you for helping me do whatever stuffs I needed...

On the other hand, sorry for what I had done or spoken wrongly in the past, my apologize with all my heart.

I hope this is a good present for your birthday today! However, I will get you a "real" present too if you want! hahaha...!

Enjoy this good day!

Taipei, Taiwan - Ning Xia Night Market

Even though it has been 4 months old, but I still want to post this! Ning Xia night market Taipei!
One of my favorite night market in Taiwan! It's not big, generally selling food, tasty food! There are lots of local food of course, I ate most of the famous dishes like red bean cake, the big and small sausages, pork rice, smelly tofu (I never touch), etc. However, there are two I would like to recommend which are eel noodle and fried yam cake! Woooh!

Okay, first we tried the famous Tainan Eel noodle; it tastes sour, a little sweet as well. The eel is thick, the crunchiness of the onion together with the soft noodle and a little bit of sour gravy, that's just perfect! It was delicious! Trust me!
Salted egg fried yam cake! The best yam cake I have tasted! The longest queue I had queued as well for just a yam cake! Well, the queue was part of the attraction for us to buy it!

Deep fried yam cake, there's not oily at all! From the first bite, very crunchy on the outside and soft inside; it's not very sweet, and it's full of yam smell. I didn't try the salted egg because I'm not a fan of that; the best food I think it should be the original one! And it is! Worth of queuing few minutes more!

Test Test Test

New camera! How could I not bring the DSLR along wherever I go?

4th April, Sunway Piramid, Zen Japanese Restaurant, V + N.

I was testing out the camera... Still figuring out the angles and functions! This is the first time N saw his camera, he loves it! =D
I guess I will have more posts on food in the future!

Once again... I'm back to the skies!

After 20 months on the ground, finally I got to fly on a TB 20! Well, the good news is........ I GOT A JOB! However, it's not an airline job, it's just in a small flying club based in Subang. Working as a flight operation officer in charging of the flight bookings, members' record, fees and accounts. Staying in a flying club is a stepping stone for me to get into airline; here, I could meet all sorts of pilots like from the airlines, clubs, flying schools, social organizations and air force. Good connection!

Before I report to work, the former owner offered me a ride on his TB20 from Penang to Subang. And once again, I'm flying! I did 80% of the total flight, but this time on the right seat. A refreshing feeling and experience, all those flying feels had come back to me! I did not know what's the rotation speed and checks on a TB20, though a TB20 is similar to TB10 which I had flown back in the days.

37.1nm to Charlie Echo during sun setting, the view was spectacular from 9000ft, weather was perfect so did my mood!

Beautiful aircraft fitted GPS, AP, retractable gears... My flying obviously seems rusty especially in instrument! It's time to refresh my memory and fly more! Looking forward for this whole new chapter of life! Hello World!

Cheng Beng 2011

First of all, I have to skip all the stories of February and March! However, these two months are the highlight of the year so far! Hmmm.........I would do my best to write, don't worry! =)

2nd of April 2011, Cheng Beng, it's time to visit my grandparents in Jawi! "Ah mah, we are here to visit you!". It was drizzling, I had never been to a Cheng Beng during rainy day. Started with a clumsy morning, HT slept over who was supposed to fetch all of us with her MPV, that was funny enough until my mum kept claiming that she was late because she was buying buns for the prayer! Wahahaha... Of course, HT scolded us like mad, saying why we didn't call earlier?!

A day before, I just got a new Canon EOS 600D DSLR, carrying with me together to Cheng Beng, thinking of might capture some nice sunrise shots!

Like I said, it was drizzling... There's no use of the DSLR...=.=
Just like the normal Cheng Beng, cleaning the grave area, cutting weeds, re-paint the wording on the tombstone, prayers... One hand holding the umbrella, one hand doing work; it's never neat doing things under the rain. While struggled a little, we heard the sound of wheels spinning above the mud and stuck in situ. Cars stuck on the way going up or down in a sloppy area is a traditional phenomenon during this day every year!

Stomach was craving for good food after the prayers, dad suggested to go for brunch in the town of Jawi. We had this famous vegetables stuffed cake together with some typical local dishes.

This is a picture where a waiter holding a traditional steaming tray with some dim sum on it.

And finally, the DSLR came in handy for this old town! Love the monochrome effect... It tells how old is this aging building, low roof, rusty doors and tattered floor.
Just like the time passing by, people get old and grow up, come and go... Life is full of adventures... One blink, Grandma had passed away 16 years+ and I miss her... =)
